Spring is such an inspiring time of the year as I see trees and plants everywhere sprouting new leaves from brown bare branches and previously empty garden plots suddenly blooming with spring bulbs! The sun shows up more and more often and the days warm up and you just want to start doing things outside…like bbqs and enjoying a glass of wine on a terrace! I know I should say “walking in the forest in front of my house” but all I want to do is make cards with flowers now!
I made this card for a friend of mine who is going to have a liver transplant and this will truly be a new beginning in life for her.
The branches were cut with Spellbinders Cherry Blossoms die from paper I had previously painted with Metal effect paint from Haeike Shafer, so the dots you see are actually shiny gold bits of paint! I then painted the sprouts with my Tombow brush by pressing the nip sideways on the paper. As I don’t have any “Thinking of you” stamps I had to hand write it with the same Tombow pen. I made 3 different cards before i was finally happy with this one! My hubby says i’m a perfectionist but you know when you have an idea in your mind, you just want to imprint that image on your work and nothing else will do! This time my image was not in my mind but around me in my garden so I had constant reminders of what i wanted to do!
I entered this card in the following challenge:
