I made this card for our dear friend’s father who was recovering from an illness and I hoped it would cheer him up. He is the talented artist Nuri, who was featured in my blog here. He is recovering well now and my card did cheer him up so I’m really glad I made it!
I painted the background with my Brushos (powdered water colour paint), by spritzing water on the card and adding blue, orange, green and a little yellow powder on the card. I then spritzed water again and watched the magic happen! Once it was really dry, I embossed the beautiful new stamp I got from Technique Junkies called Asian Mums, on it with Versamark, added gold embossing powder over it and heat embossed it. Last of all I added the sentiment from The Ton, in green, to soothe his heart.
I entered this card in the following challenges:
CAS Mix Up – Stamping + heat embossing + Brushos colour burst
Fusion – I decided to follow the picture as I was inspired by the gold pattern on the bird’s back and the colours in the picture
