Cards

Pastel colours

Pastels are not my favourite type of colours, which is exactly why I had to try and make a card when the challenges over at Less Is More and Pinterest Inspired asked for cards with pastel shades on it! I just love a to try something new!

I used Balzer Designs “mini bubble doily” stencil to sponge in the pastel colours with Momento’s dew drops. But there was a large empty circle in the middle so I stuck on a flower I cut using Spellbinders Jewel Flowers and Flourish set which I previously coloured using the bokeh technique here. I could have just added a small Happy Birthday sentiment and it would have been VERY CAS, but my daughter wanted it for her friend’s birthday card so I added the sentiment she chose from “The Ton” Friend Defined set.

Its very pastel, but I do like it! Hope you do too.

  1. A lovely blend of pastels on the circular background image and I love the definition sentiment stamps.

  3. Lovely card! The sentiment did make me laugh – I can think of a few of my friends who’d like it. Your daughter’s friend will love this. Nice one!

  4. There are some rather strong shades amongst the pastel colours here Gwendolyn, on this terrific card, which I’m sure your daughter’s friend will love!
    Thanks so much
