I’m off to London this week to participate in my cousin’s hen night, but I was also very lucky to manage to get a ticket to see Swan Lake, at the Royal Albert Hall! I can’t wait as its a special massive production with over a hundred swan dancers! I’m so excited I was inspired to make a swan card already! I had my daughter in mind when I made it as I want her to take risks in life. I will probably put a frame around it so she can hang it on her wall.
I wanted to play along with Less is More Purple challenge so I played with all my purple inks! I just got some Adirondack alcohol inks and experimented with it on a glossy card stock. I also added Brushos on it. After I had finished, I decided that as as a whole panel, it wasn’t that great, but as a border to my card I loved it! The swan is part of an A6 stamp from Technique Junkies, with many swans on it but I just inked up one, firstly with my distress paints and then with my Tombow pens. As I just received my MISTI (yeah!!!) I could re-stamp my swan until I got it the colour I wanted! I fussy cut it and adhered it on to the white card stock. The wonderful sentiment comes from Stamploration Becca Cruger’s “Strong Women” set.
I’m also playing along at:
Just Us Girls – Birds
Addicted to Stamps and More – Anything Goes
Craft Stamper’s Take it Make it “lets get inky” challenge
Have a great week!
