I have an eleven yr old marvellous daughter that I’m trying to raise to become a strong confident woman (and not the insecure mess I was until I turned 50, lol!) So I made another card for her that she can look at everyday to inspire her.
I love this sentiment by Becca Crugar, and all the other quotes she has in her Stamplorations “Strong Women” stamp set. I first stamped this beautiful flower stamp called “Asian Women” from Technique Junkies with Versamark and heat embossed it with a clear pearly embossing powder from Aladine. I cut it into 3 panels and used Momento inks to sponge in the different colours. I spritz water onto them to give a watercoloured look and once they were dry, pasted them onto a white card stock.
I used a heart die from Xcut to cut out the heart shape and then stamped the sentiment on a small seperate piece of white card stock, first with Versamark before heat embossing it with black embossing powder. I stuck this piece onto the green card before adding my coloured panels card. To finish, I used a smaller heart die from Xcut to cut out the small heart from felt and adhered it next to the large heart.
I took this pic at night to show how the embossed flowers shine!
My daughter loved it…and I hope you do too!
The colours and layout of this card was inspired by the following challenges:
