Congratulations Mathea & Maddy!

I’m heading off to Italy now, right after I write this post, to watch my talented nieces play in a violin competition in Fermo, Italy. They have flown all the way from Singapore, with their parents (my brother & my sil), to take part in this prestigious competition, and for me they are already winners. I made two cards for them this morning to show them how proud I am of them.

Violin congrats black n silver

The first one was made using some of the stamps I won from “Simon Says Stamp” Work It Wednesday challenge and the sentiment comes from “Our Daily Bread” Just A Note set. I stamped it with Versafine using my Misti as the card is a glossy smooth texture and I had to stamp them twice to get a good colour. The red geometric heart was also heat embossed using Wow embossing powder.

Violin congrats black n silver cu

I’m entering this card in:

less is more Less Is More – Geometric

casology Casology – 2nd entry to their “Loud” challenge as the sentiment says to “shout for Joy”!

wordartWord Art Wednesdays – Anything Goes

My next card was made using the treble from Our Daily Bread’s Just A Note set too. I stamped it with Versamark and heat embossed it with Wow pink & gold embossing powder, then used my Zigs to colour in pink, green and blue.

Violin congrats cu

The die cut Congrats is from Winnie & Walter and was cut from a spoilt card which had some heat embossing on it too. (It now serves as a sneak peak for my Guest Designer post on the 30/5 for CASology ;), so be sure to come back on the 30th of May!)

Violin congrats sparkle

Here you can see how sparkly those embossing powders are, I just LOVE them!

This card is going to the following challenges:

AAAcards AAA Cards – 2nd entry to their “Embossing” challenge

crafty addicts  The Crafty Addict – Use Diecuts

Shopping our Stash badge Shopping Our Stash – Musical Notes

Thanks for stopping by and leave me some comments to keep me company on the road during my pit stops!
