Cards · Die cuts · Heat embossing · Watercolor

Congratulations Mathea & Maddy!

I’m heading off to Italy now, right after I write this post, to watch my talented nieces play in a violin competition in Fermo, Italy. They have flown all the way from Singapore, with their parents (my brother & my sil), to take part in this prestigious competition, and for me they are already winners. I made two cards for them this morning to show them how proud I am of them.

Violin congrats black n silver

The first one was made using some of the stamps I won from “Simon Says Stamp” Work It Wednesday challenge and the sentiment comes from “Our Daily Bread” Just A Note set. I stamped it with Versafine using my Misti as the card is a glossy smooth texture and I had to stamp them twice to get a good colour. The red geometric heart was also heat embossed using Wow embossing powder.

Violin congrats black n silver cu

I’m entering this card in:

less is more Less Is More – Geometric

casology Casology – 2nd entry to their “Loud” challenge as the sentiment says to “shout for Joy”!

wordartWord Art Wednesdays – Anything Goes

My next card was made using the treble from Our Daily Bread’s Just A Note set too. I stamped it with Versamark and heat embossed it with Wow pink & gold embossing powder, then used my Zigs to colour in pink, green and blue.

Violin congrats cu

The die cut Congrats is from Winnie & Walter and was cut from a spoilt card which had some heat embossing on it too. (It now serves as a sneak peak for my Guest Designer post on the 30/5 for CASology ;), so be sure to come back on the 30th of May!)

Violin congrats sparkle

Here you can see how sparkly those embossing powders are, I just LOVE them!

This card is going to the following challenges:

AAAcards AAA Cards – 2nd entry to their “Embossing” challenge

crafty addicts  The Crafty Addict – Use Diecuts

Shopping our Stash badge Shopping Our Stash – Musical Notes

Thanks for stopping by and leave me some comments to keep me company on the road during my pit stops!

  3. Two wonderfully different cards. The red and black on the silky card base looks great, and perfect for our geometric challenge. And the turquoise and sparkle is a wonderful combination.

  4. 2 stunning cards and I love how you’ve used the hearts in black and red against the grey card base. Classy, striking and fabulously geometric with a great sentiment and CAS feel too. Your second card really pops in that bold turquoise with beautiful embossing and design. Thanks so much for playing along with us at both AAA Cards and Less is More this week.
