“Let there be Peace on Earth

… and let it begin with me.” I’ve started listening to Oprah’s & Deepak’s meditation experience “Creating Peace from the Inside out”, while I craft and this phrase stuck with me. With so much suffering being caused & felt in the world, if each of us tried to create Peace within ourselves first and foremost, we wouldn’t feel the need to hurt others or react to those who hurt us, by hurting back, and so much of what is going on in the world today could be avoided.

One of the reasons I love making cards is the online community I have found that is just incredibly kind! Everyone takes the time to support each other, leave really kind comments and never ever criticise each other’s work. I have never found such an amazing bunch of strangers that just want to help and encourage each other! I have learnt and progressed so much because of their help and I want to thank you all again for your amazing support!

To my card now! 😉 I made this essentially to enter in The Card Concept’s “Freshly Elegant” challenge and I hope I get this in in time! I first created a watercolour panel with my Zig Clean Color Real Brushes and die cut it with Sizzix’s beautiful die. I glued it onto a shiny gold card with Uhu glue stick.

I stamped the sentiment from Hero Arts with Versafine onto a little card panel I cut with my fancy scissors The hibiscus & leaves from Hero Arts were first stamped with Distress inks and I used my Zigs again to add more interest. It was then fussy cut and adhered onto the sentiment panel.  Two little sequins finished the card.

Thanks for stopping by and leaving me more love. It really makes my day!

  1. I totally agree with you about the crafting community. I’ve never met such wonderful, welcoming and supportive people before, wish I had found them a lot sooner!! I love your Sizzix die, the pattern is gorgeous and the pink/brown colour combo is so pretty. I’m so glad you joined us at The Flower Challenge this month!
