Be your own kind of Beautiful

Just a quick post today as I’m actually on the road, in France, on our way to see some friends, who have a beach house in the South west of France, where we’ll stay for a week. Its actually our first long vacation together as a family this year and we’re already having a lot of fun!

As I made this card before I left, I wanted to share it, especially over at Simon Says Stamp Monday challenge where the theme is Stencil It, which is exactly what I did! I first die cut a scallop hole on the card. I then placed the beautiful stencil from Hero Arts called Spiral Petals, (which was one of my prizes from winning a challenge over at a2z scrapbooking), over another card stock and proceeded to sponge in some distress inks through it. I removed the stencil and went over the inks with my clear Spectrum Noir sparkle pen.

Don’t you just love that sparkle? I then added this stencilled piece behind the scallop. To finish, I stamped the sentiment from Altenew in Versamark, then heat embossed it with Wow embossing powder, twice, so it would be bolder!

I finished by cutting the bottom of the card with one of my fancy scissors.

So I hope you liked it and let me know what you thought, as I always love reading your comments!
