The Sisterhood of Crafters – Use Dies + video

sisterhood

Hi all! Its a brand new challenge for the next two weeks over at The Sisterhood of Crafters and this time Anna has chosen the theme “Use Dies”. Did you win at our last challenge? Have a look here.

For this challenge, I decide to play with Tim Holtz’s alcohol inks on vellum to create this beautiful translucent look on my feathers. I made a video to show how I did it and you can find it at the end of my post. I used dies from Spellbinders, to die cut the feathers and arranged them on my oval panel, cut with a Sizzix die, to look like an autumn leaf.

The Hugs inlaid die cut from Stamplorations, was stacked afew times so that it gives some dimension on my card. And lastly I stamped “for your birthday” using individual stamps from The Ton. With all the sentiment stamps I have, I could not find one complete stamp with “for your birthday”!

Well I hope you enjoyed the video tutorial and give me a thumbs up and subscribe to my channel if you haven’t done so already.

Do pop over to The Sisterhood of Crafters challenge blog and give my “Sistahs” some love too, and join in the fun to use dies! Thanks for stopping by and your comments really make my day!

  2. Gwendolyn, this card is wonderful! I JUST got DOx inks (I know, I am really late to this party!) and seeing how you used them has inspired me to open up the package! Great video – both cards are great! Thanks for the inspiration!!
