October is the month of Breast Cancer Awareness, and over at The Sisterhood of Crafters challenge blog, my “sistahs” & I are making it a “Pink October” challenge to support this very important theme. For our challenge, you just have to make anything pink!
I’m hoping this month will remind you to get that all important breast examination, or to send a card to someone who is fighting cancer.
I made a very simple card for this challenge using the stamps and dies from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Breast Cancer Awareness products. Michele, the owner of CAS-ual Fridays, designed these while she was battling her own breast cancer and you can read her story here. I first covered a piece of white card stock with Washi tape and cut it with the Hope ribbon die. I sponged some distress inks onto a water colour paper and sprayed it with pink glimmer mist. You can’t see it in the photo but the whole panel just shines!
Once that was dry I cut it with MFT Blueprint 20’s rectangle scallop die and glued my Hope ribbon onto it. I then stamped the sentiment from Calling All Sistahs stamp set and adhered my panel onto a white card base and the card was done!
So I hope you liked it and that it’ll remind you to check yourself, it may just save your life! Now hop on over to The Sisterhood of Crafters challenge blog and see what amazing pink creations my Sistahs have made just for your viewing pleasure, and I hope to see your pink creation in the gallery too!
Thanks for stopping by and your comments are always sooo appreciated!
