Its a new challenge over at The Sisterhood of Crafters and the theme this fortnight is “I see Spots”. Come and join in the challenge and show us how you incorporate spots onto your cards! I thoroughly enjoyed making my card for this fun challenge using a very simple method to create my huge spots.
Today I wanted to make a “no-brainer” shaker card… meaning a very simple one, using the color inspiration challenge over at Altenew. So I simply created my huge spots using Ranger’s round blending tool and Altenew Cotton Candy ink. I then stamped in some little flowers from their Vintage Flowers stamp set using Momento’s creamy chalk like ink called VersaMagic. To stamp in the sentiment from Altenew’s Blooming Bouquet stamp set, I used my MISTI and Versafine black ink. I really love how Versafine manages to cover a stamp completely, no matter how large it is.
To create my shaker card, I used My Favorite Thing scallop stitched frame which I just received and which I already love! I cut a piece of acetate and stuck it behind my scallop border. I then added some sequins onto the middle of the card and adhered the scallop acetate frame onto my card, using foam tape on the borders to raise it, so my sequins could move.
And that was it! A very quick card to make which I hope you like too. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you’ll now hop along to The Sisterhood of Crafters Challenge blog to join in our challenge, and leave my “sistahs” some love too!
