Hi all! Its Wednesday so another challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More and this weeks theme is “Make Your Mark”. This is my favourite challenge theme as I love playing with my markers, watercolours and pencils.
Today I decided to make a card using my Prismacolor pencils as its been awhile since I’ve coloured anything with colour pencils. The colours were inspired by the challenge at Altenew and as it also contained black, I decided to use a black card stock as Prismacolor pencils stand out so well against a black background.
I first diecut my black card stock using My Favorite Thing’s scallop rectangle die. I stamped the beautiful flowers from Altenew’s “Wild Hibiscus” stamp set in white using Color Box ink and then spent the next wonderful hour colouring in with my pencils. As its been awhile, I’m a little rusty so forgive me for some parts of the flowers that are not as well blended. One it was finished, I added little sprigs of flowers from Altenew’s Botanical Garden stamp set. I really love both these stamps sets!
Once they were all done, I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from Hero Arts with clear Versamark ink and heat embossed it with white Wow embossing powder. This panel was adhered onto a white card base with a thick cardboard behind it too give it some dimension. I then added white dots on the card using acrylic paint and nuvo drops. The clear drops are from my Goosebumps clear texture spray.
Well I do hope you like my card as much as I enjoyed making it for your viewing pleasure! Do pop over to the Addicted to Stamps and More challenge blog to see the other amazing creations my team mates have made to inspire you.
Have a great day!

Love if! I’m an impatient crafter so I don’t like to use colored pencils much, but this post inspired me to pull them out and give it another shot
