Hi all, we’re celebrating our 300th challenge post today & 6 years in existence over at Addicted to Stamps and More and we would love for you to join us! So make a birthday card & link up and you stand a chance to win a prize from our sponsors Happy Little Stampers. You have until Tuesday 17th July to submit your entries and the winer will be announced one week later.
Unfortunately I forgot to bring my Happy Little Stampers stamps with me to Madrid where I’m on holiday for three weeks at my mother-in-laws place (luckily she’s very nice so it is a holiday…). So I made a card with the only Birthday stamps I brought with me, which lucky for me, fit the photo inspiration perfectly too! These are my new stamps from Concorde and 9th called Birthday Stacks and they come with coordinating dies too, but I didn’t bring my die-cutting machine, so fussy cutting it was!
I first stamped the balloons and presents with Mustard seed distress ink and watercoloured them with Winsor and Newton watercolours. I l also gave a light purplish wash to the backgroun donce they had dried. I added the black balloon strings with a thin marker and used it for the strings on the boxes too. The details on the balloons and presents were added with Prismacolor pencils. To create the 3D effect, I made sure to leave a little tab at the end of both side when I fussy cut it and used double sided to tape to adhere these tabs to my card base. Both sentiments come from the same set
Well I hope you enjoyed my card and that you’ll join in our Birthday fun at Addicted to Stamps and More and celebrate with us. Be sure to stop by for my next post too where I have some exciting news to announce! Have a great day!
