A very short post today just to share a card I made after completing the Creative Watercolor Media course at Altenew Academy. As I have been water-colouring for 6 months now and I’ve watched TONS of videos on this subject, I did not expect to find anything new to me in this course. But surprise surprise, I did learn about new mediums to use for water-colouring!
I knew about using water-based ink pads to watercolor, but I didn’t think about using ink sprays and ink refills! So for today’s card, I used a combination of Altenew inks and metallic sprays to watercolor my card. I first started by stamping the flower bouquet from Altenew’s “Blooming Bouquet” set with clear Versamark ink and then heat embossing it with Wow’s clear glitter embossing powder. I painted the background with Altenew’s Ocean Waves ink and then sprayed different metallic sprays into a paint palette and painted the whole bouquet with it.
The sentiment comes from Inpressions Obsession and I matted the finished watercolor panel onto a mauve card base from The Paper Studio.
Well I hope you liked my card and I would love to know what you think. Have a great day!
