Hi all! Welcome to my 2nd post for today and this card was inspired by our mood blog above, which was chosen by our sistah Darlene, over at “The Sisterhood of Crafters” challenge blog. There are so many things you can choose from to create your project so I look forward to seeing what inspired you.
I was immediately drawn to the Autumn leaves in the picture with the turkey and my original card was just full of them. But after 4h of painting, once I cut it down to make my card, I didn’t like it and with great disappointed, I chucked it! So I had to quickly make another card and this time I was also drawn to the roundness of the tail of the turkey. I used a flower stamp from The Ton called “Watercolor Wreath”, quickly painted it using Daniel Smith’s paints, namely Gamboge and Permanant Alizarin Crimson for the flowers and Green Gold for the leaves, fussy cut it and adhered it with foam tape to create dimension.
The sentiment comes from Stamplorations and I stamped it in the middle of the rectangle diecut from My Favorite Things which I diecut with my Big Shot plus. The border was also adhered with foam tape to raise it. The diecuts were then adhered onto a turquoise card base, from Hero Arts, which was inspired by the blue shade on the bottom right image.
Here is the original card I had spent 4h painting, using The Ton’s stamp again (sorry there’s no name on the package), its beautiful isn’t it? I was so upset to ruin it.
Well I hope you’ll be inspired by our mood board and that you’ll also pop over to “The Sisterhood of Crafters” challenge blog to see the other amazing cards my team mates have created especially to inspire you too! Thanks for popping by and I look forward to reading what you think of my card.
